A couple of my favorites....
The one about the witness family that were flipping through the TV channels and they happened across a broadcast of "The Excorcist". The family tried and tried to get the TV to switch channels but it wouldn't budge.They tried to turn the set off, no dice. Even when the tube was unplugged, the hell-spawn movie kept going. It was only after they all called on the name of Jah that they were rescued.
Or the one about the teen publisher that got drunk while out with her worldy friends and she ended up sleeping with a guy at a party. When she woke up the next morn, Casanova was nowhere to be found but scrawled on the bathroom mirror in lipstick was "welcome to the world of AIDS"

My sister suffered from Down's Syndrome. As a result, she was prone to make really outlandish statements at times. She developed a crush on this brother named Frankie. He was about 15 years old at the time. After a Sunday meeting one time, she went around to everyone that would listen and told them she didn't feel good cuz "Frankie had made her pregnant"! All false of course! We laughed about that one for a long time afterward.

my parents used to relish in the whole physical punishment thing.
i guess the question i'm trying to get at is, do you think wts promotes and encourages physical violence in the home?

The fact that I listened to The Doors was brought up as a reason for my disfellowshipping. I like all kinds of music, and the best part is that I don't have to feel guilty anymore about what I choose to listen to.

I was disfellowshipped 13 years ago for being present at an act of vandalism that got news coverage. The "brothers" didn't want the media attention, so they tossed me out. They didn't forget though, to trump up a bunch of unfounded accusations to seal the deal as well. Best thing that could've EVER happened to me. Welcome to the forum.
